Takehiro KaiNew Artist of the Year
The recipient of New Artist of the Year must have been working for a professional balloon business for three years or less and participate in at least two WBC competitions of his or her choice. One winner was determined based on cumulative points from both entries. The WBC 2010 New Artist of the Year was Takehiro Kai of Hineriya in Hiroshima, Japan.

WBC 2010 Master Designer
Masako NomuraTo qualify for Master Designer, the artist must have competed in three competitions: Large Sculpture, Table Arrangement, and his or her choice of Delivery Bouquet or Column. One winner was determined based on cumulative points from all three entries. The WBC 2010 Master Designer award was presented to Masako Nomura, CBA, of FuwaFuwa Co., Ltd. in Okayama, Japan.
